Kenwood DPX-302 Review This radio fits very well as a double din replacement, and includes the brackets to install it. Sound quality is good in what you would expect for this price range. Setting this radio for the first time is a bit confusing though, because the instructions don't match what you need to do in practice. It takes a while to figure out. The use of a joystick to select bands and stations is a curious experience in a car radio. My only concern is in terms of the durability of the device compare with the classical buttons. But on the other hand you have the remote control to do the same thing. Kenwood DPX 302 I bought this headunit about a year ago. I have yet to have a problem with it. It's not bad AT ALL once you learn what everything does. The settings of being able to adjust the Hertz going to the front and the Hertz going to the rear may seem difficult, but anyone with a good ear can manipulate it into a good sound. I'd suggest this to anyone. Also, if buying for a Ford, it will not fit exactly. Ford does not use a true dual din set up in their headunits even though by their standards they are. I used the the frame they provide and cut the top off it off and sanded the edges of the frame and put some black rubber dip on the backside and popped it right in. Looks like it was made to fit in my Mustang GT to replace the Mach 460 headunit. Once you get past the menu.... I bought this kenwood unit to replace my Focus's OEM receiver. The install was smooth, and the sound is much better than the OEM unit. Kenwood's instructions aren't that great, but once you paly around for a few hours you really get the hang of it. One of the best features is the customization. It has high pass filters, low pass, sub level, graphic EQ presets... a plethora of settings, it even caters to your speaker size! I'm running a small sub and OEM speakers and this deck makes listening to music very enjoyable.
